A funeral home may become a member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes by invitation only, and has to pass a detailed inspection of facilities, professionalism of staff and adherence to lawful funeral practice, among other things to become a member.
After being accepted, the member firm is required to continue to meet certain standards and processes to maintain membership, which is audited on an annual basis.
Only one funeral home in each market area may be a member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes.
