Alice Marie Wilkinson

Alice Marie Wilkinson, 63, of New Castle passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born September 7, 1960 in New Castle to the late Thomas and Margaret (Swinford) Wilkinson.

Alice had worked for Pinkerton as a security guard at Ingersoll-Rand, and also worked at Burger King and Knitware in Greenfield, Foam Rubber and Wal-Mart in New Castle. She was a 50-year member of Cadiz Christian Church. She enjoyed Green Bay Packers Football, Houston Astros Baseball and IU Basketball. She also enjoyed jigsaw and word find puzzles. Alice loved watching TV shows and movies, especially Little House on the Prairie. She had an uncanny ability to recognize movie stars faces from earlier films.

She is survived by her sister, Catherine “Kitty’ (Kevin) Powell of Greenfield; brother, Jerold (Lynda) Wilkinson of Newburgh; 4 nieces, Tessa (Landon) Tuttle, Tara Powell, Ginger Wilkinson. and Vivian “Ruthie” Wilkinson; two aunts and two uncles.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 3:00p.m. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Jeff Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Summit Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be sent to the New Castle Henry County Animal Shelter, 11 Midway Drive, New Castle, IN 47362.
