Annabelle (Bowers) Wilson, 91, of New Castle passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at her residence. She was born April 12, 1925 in Henry County to the late Russel and Neva (Harry) Bowers.
Annabelle retired from Modernfold following 44 years of employment. She enjoyed weekly paintings with Phyllis Whitworth, gardening and her flowers. Annabelle loved watching the New Castle Trojans, Butler Bulldogs, IU, Purdue and the Indiana Pacers. She was a member of First Baptist Church in New Castle for over 40 years.
She is survived by her son, Steve (April) Swim of Springport; grandchildren, Stephanie (Marvin) Loveless of Daleville, Stephen Brady (Jennifer) Swim of Mt. Summit; great grandchildren, Kindsey Swim, Makaelin (Austin) Helms, Karlee Swim, and Bryce Williams; great great grandchildren, Ian and Felicity Howell, Declynn Helms; sister in law, Treva Bowers of Middletown; nieces and nephews, Pam (Denny) Craig, Janis (Bob) Eavey, Terry (Linda) Fry, Rod Fry, Bruce Fry and Kevin Fry Russel; special friend, Rillie Neal; and a special thanks to her caregivers, Tammy Blake and Angie House.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Wilson; siblings, Jim Bowers, Lee Ella Shears, and Joan Kringlen.
Visitation will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Graveside services will follow at Miller Cemetery in Middletown with Pastor Jerry Ingalls officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 709 S.
