Benjamin Wade Ian Leach, 53, of Springport went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 17, 2016 in his home. He was born March 2, 1963 in New Castle, Indiana to Gilbert and Doris (Butler) Leach. He was a loving husband of Geraldine (Saylor) Leach, of 31 years.
Benjamin Wade graduated from Blue River High School in 1982. He served in the Military Reserves for 6 years post-graduation. He had been employed at Magna Machine and Tool and Henry County Highway Department. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family, camping, fishing, spending time on their pontoon, and loved spending time outdoors with his loving wife, Geraldine. He loved his dogs and made everyone smile that spent time with him.
Left to cherish his loving memory in addition to his parents, Gilbert and Doris Leach are: his wife, Geraldine (Saylor) Leach; daughter, Tisha Raines; grandchildren, Jesse Raines, Jason Raines; great-granddaughter, Willow Raines; sister, Sheri (husband, Doug) Feaster; brother, Merle Allen Leach; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Sam and Clara Murphy, maternal grandparents, Elmer and Mary Butler, grandmother, Burcie Butler, mother-in-law, Oma (Sizemore) Saylor, and brother-in-law, Gary Saylor.
Services will be at 1p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service New Castle with Pastor Matt Perdue officiating. Burial will follow at Mooreland Cemetery with military rites conducted by the local American Legion/VFW and active duty contingent from the Untied States Army.
