Bobby Lou Garrett

Bobby Lou Garrett, age 67, of New Castle, passed away at his home Saturday, May 19, 2012. He was born June 23, 1944 in Batesville, MS, a son of the late Ryan and Vera (Sells) Garrett of Albany, KY.

Bobby worked at Modernfold in New Castle and also at INTAT at Rushville. He enjoyed detailing cars, gardening and selling vegetables, and spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Jill Garrett of Albany, KY; two brothers, Willie (Paulette) Garrett of New Castle, Keith (Debra) Garrett of Albany, KY; one sister, Sue Richards of Burkesville, KY; five grandsons, Clint and Brent Garrett, Spencer, Cody, and Jaden Jones, all of Albany, KY; one great granddaughter, Cailsyn Alexa Jones of Albany, KY; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Also, his best friend, Jennifer Godby.

He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Tracey Clark in 2002; his parents; one sister, Doris Fay, and brother in law, Junior Richards.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. A visitation will also be held at Weldon Haddix Funeral Home in Albany, KY from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Weldon Haddix Funeral Home in Albany with Brother Nickie Richards and Brother Shane Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Hill Gardens in Albany. Memorial contributions may be given to the Diabetes Association, address.
