Brenda L. Sharp

Brenda L. Sharp, 57, a resident of New Castle passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Henry County Hospital. She was born February 22, 1955 in New Castle to the late Bennie and Hilma Brookshire.

A homemaker, she enjoyed crafts. She also loved caring for children.

Survivors include a brother: Charles Brookshire of New Castle; a step-son: Brian (Evelyn “Peanut”) Sharp of New Castle; two grandchildren: Emily and Beth Sharp; two step-sisters: Ruth Cole of New Castle and Emma Flynn of North Carolina; three sisters-in-law: Mary Ellen (Ron) Pierce, Ruth Hudson and Donna (Mike) Hinsey, all of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charles “Chuck” Sharp; a sister: Beverly Brookshire Melton and two step-sisters: Harriett Meese and Marie Wrisk.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Paul Riddle officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
