Brian Ennis Yockey, 51, of Tipton and formerly of New Castle passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Tipton Hospital. He was born December 31, 1965 in New Castle to Buford C. and Elizabeth Ann (Roberts) Yockey.
Brian was a veteran of the Indiana National Guard and was employed as a truck driver for Red Gold Transport in Elwood, IN for the past 12 years. He was previously employed for Yockey Transport in Spiceland for several years. He enjoyed trucking and was awarded the 1,250,000 accident free miles award from Red Gold Transport. Brian was interested in current events, the stock market and politics.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne J. Yockey whom he married August 15, 2015, parents, Buford and Elizabeth Ann (Roberts) Yockey of Spiceland; siblings: Curtis (Wendy) Yockey of New Palestine, Paul S. Yockey of New Castle, Nancy E. Yockey of Cambridge City and DeWayne A. (Amanda M.) Yockey of Greenfield; nieces and nephews: Jade L. (Josh) Linville, Brett A. Roach, Tiffany M. Roach, Samantha L. Yockey and Madeline A. Yockey.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Leslie S. Yockey: maternal grandparents, Sherman and Hazel Roberts and paternal grandparents, Fred and Mable Yockey.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Services in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday. You may express condolences or share a memory of Brian at
