Caroline Emma Clark, 16, of Muncie passed away along with her sister, Annie, on Friday January 2, 2015. She was born on July 01, 1998 in Muncie, a daughter of John and Jill (Bailey) Clark.
Caroline was a sophomore at Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, where she was a member of the Key Club, student council, high school choir, and participated in track and cross country. Caroline was also a member of Delaware County PRIDE Team, member of Hazelwood Christian Church where she loved to participate in summer mission trips and youth activities.
Her passion for competitive gymnastics began at age 3. She was currently a level 9 gymnast with the Anderson Gymnastics team. When she was not in the gym, she could still be seen doing flips and even walking on her hands to the bathroom. Her gymnastics teammates which were more like family watched for her smiling face at the beginning of each practice. When she walked through the door of the gym she would strike a pose and everyone would know it was going to be a fun practice.
Caroline loved to make people laugh and was very successful at it. There are many “Caroline stories,” all of which describe her passion for the positive.
Her charming innocence is best described as her lack of a verbal filter. If she thought it, she spoke it.
Caroline’s partner in crime, inseparable by hands and heart, Tori Long, was the mac to her cheese, and the icing to her cupcake. The combination of their personalities was the perfect balance to Caroline’s life.
Caroline’s boyfriend, who always put a smile on her face, Braeden Hollowell of Cayuga, IN, left this world with her with all the hopes and dreams that young love anticipates.
She is survived by her parents, John and Jill (Bailey) Clark of Muncie, sister, Gwendolyn Clark at home, one brother and his family, Justin and Chelsea Journay, and their daughter Meya, of Muncie; paternal grandparents, Dale and Mary Clark; maternal grandparents, Jim and Nancy Bailey, all of Muncie; two aunts, Kim (Ed) Soots of Fountain City, and Julie (David) Bowers of Indianapolis; one uncle, Mike Clark of Houston, TX.
She was preceded in death by maternal and paternal great grandparents, including (Granny) Dorothy Bailey.
