Cherish "Cheri" Thompson

Cherish “Cheri” Thompson, 37, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Henry Community Health. She was born October 26, 1982 in Bluffton, Indiana, a daughter of Frederick “Fred” Charles Thompson and Misty Thompson.

She was a 2001 graduate of Blue River High School. Cheri was very outgoing, goofy, one of a kind and loved to laugh and make others laugh. She loved going to rummage sales and flea markets, spending time at Mt. Lawn Speedway and racing. She was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on things.

Survivors include daughters, Courtney Thompson-Durbin and Makaila Marlow; mother, Misty Thompson; brothers, Chris (Tisha) Thompson, Jason Thompson and Troy Thompson; grandmother, Mary Sneed; step grandmother, Gloria Gossage; aunts, Judy (John) Reno and Carrie (Clint) Stearns; second mother, Linda Marlow; cousins, Casey Beckner, Shawna (Angela) Malone, Lilly Stearns and Darryen Poindexter; nephews, Lance and Bradlee; nieces, Reaba and Madison; along with many other family and friends including the Marlow Family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Frederick (Fred) Thompson; grandfather, Dale Gossage; great grandparents, Retta and Willard Gossage & Ira and Mary Sneed; second dad, Freddie Marlow II; aunt, Thelma Gossage and best friend, Ryan Stanley.

Services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Cherish Thompson Memorial Fund, c/o Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, New Castle, IN 47362.
