Christopher Lee Bell, 44 of Tallahassee, FL and formerly of New Castle passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018. He was born April 16, 1974 in Muncie to Kevin Bell and Alta Lee (Watson) Hardgrove.
Chris was a 1993 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. After 4 years in army Chris work for 11 years with AT&T in Indiana, 5 years with Century Link in Florida, and was currently employed by Florida Agency of State Technology as an Office Automation Specialist. He was a member of the Souls Port United Pentecostal Church in Tallahassee and formerly a member of Turning Point Life Center in New Castle. Chris enjoyed gaming and playing sports and he loved spending time with family and friends.
Chris is survived by his wife, Julie (Mowbray) Bell; children, Mindy Bell, Miranda (Austin) Coakley, Zack Bell; parents, Kevin Bell and Alta (Jerry) Hardgrove; brothers, Jody Bell, Danny Bell (Mandi Stigall); step sisters, Lisa (Aaron) Swinks, Holly Haitt, Jerri (Brock) Thuis; brother-in-law, George Mowbray Jr.; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother in law, George and Diane Mowbray and his grandparents, Herschel and Doris Watson.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23 at Turning Point Life Center with Pastor Matt Perdue officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Military honors will be conducted by contingents from the U.S. Army, American Legion, VFW. Burial will follow the service in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition, Legion Square.
A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Souls Port United Pentecostal Church in Tallahassee, Florida.
