Daniel Scott Sexton

Daniel Scott Sexton, 43, of New Castle passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his home. He was born October 17, 1974 in New Castle to Danny and Connie (Stearnes) Sexton.

He was employed at Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 440 and formerly employed at Dilling Mechanical Co. Daniel loved fishing, playing guitar, writing music, reading and watching football. He was a very loving and caring individual and was always willing to help others in need. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his children. Daniel never met a stranger and could always make you laugh.

He is survived by his three children, Kelsie Sexton of Austin, TX, Breanna Sexton and Zachary Sexton both of New Castle; mother and step-father, Connie Sexton and Joe Cross of New Castle; former wife, Renee Sexton of New Castle; sister, Danielle (Clayton) Keck of Springport; two nephews, Jerakiah Keck of Sulphur Springs and Kyler Keck of Springport; niece, Cheyanne Keck of Springport; great-niece, Zariah, special friend, Tammy Wilson of New Castle; several aunts, uncles and cousins including a special aunt, June Haskett.

He is preceded in death by his father, Danny L. Sexton, maternal grandparents, Duke and Jean Stearnes, paternal grandparents, Cecil Sexton and Melissa Sexton Ziglar.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in Mt. Summit Cemetery.
