David C. Newman, 80, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday December 21, 2023, at his home. He was born on September 19, 1943, in New Castle to the late Kem and Janavieve (Davis) Newman.
On May 5, 1961, David married Debbie Koontz and were married for 55 years. David loved his family and was Godly man whom will be dearly missed.
David is survived by his son, David Lee (Tammy) Newman; daughter, Julie Attaway; grandchildren, Ryan (Stacey) Newman, Kristy (Justin) Eubanks, Ashley (Eric) Galinger, Jessica (Trevar) Ladd and Nick Attaway; great grandchildren, Aubree, Cali, Bennett, Paisley, Kinsley, Adalyn, Blakely and Chloe; sister, Janet Freese; brother, Les Newman; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Debbie Newman; daughter, Connie Newman; infant grandson; brothers, George Newman and Howard Newman.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date for the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
