Denise Dean

Denise Dean, 64, of New Castle passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at her residence. She was born September 7, 1958 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late Tom and Gladys (Sosby) Mix.

Denise was a 1978 graduate of New Castle High School and received her dietary manager certificate from J. Everett Light Career Center. She loved bingo and attending the Broad Street Cruise-ins.

Survivors include two children, Cara (Travis) Collier and Jeffery (fiancée, Tricia Wilkinson) Massengale; grandchildren, Alan (Kennedy), Chaylynn (Skylar), Josiah, Gracie, Kimberly, Isaiah, Gia and Weslee; great grandchildren, Adrianna, Lorenzo, Sawyer and Alaina; twin brother, Doyle Mix; brothers, Jack (Jamie) Mix, Richard (Robin) Neal and Curtis Neal; several nieces & nephews; and brother-in-law, Walter Rector.

In addition to her parents, Denise was preceded in death by a brother Steve (Clydia) Mix; sisters, Kathryn Rector, Susan Gosser &Crystal Neal and daughter-in-law, Melissa Massengale.

Services will be 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until time of services Sunday at the funeral home.
