Dillard F. Goad, 94, of Springport, Indiana formerly of Robbins, Tennessee passed away Thursday, January, 24, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born September 26, 1924 in Robbins, Tennessee, the son of the late Millard and Etta Mitchell Goad. He married his wife Marie Lawson on July 17, 1943.
Dillard retired from Chrysler Corp in 1976 after 30 years of service.
He dearly loved playing board games and cards with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dillard and Marie traveled to many churches throughout Tennessee playing and singing for the Lord.
He is survived by his daughters, Casteen Wickliff and Virgie Bach; daughter-in-law, Violet Goad; grandchildren, Donna Smith, Billy D. Goad (Misty), Rick Wickliff (Diane), Laura Bray (Gary), Nicki Baker (Lance), Misty Embry (Jeff), Dewey Witham II (Crystal), Angel Hall and Matthew Hall; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, Kyle (Kalie), Ryder, Bayleigh, Adrienne (Blake), Merida, Kailei (Jeff), Cael, Rowan, Connor, Hannah, Kristen (Tyler), Zachary, Payton, Paige, Damon, Emalee, Nakayla, Shelby and Marissa; brother- in-law, Bobby Joe Lawson (Joyce) and many other loved ones.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years; his son, Billy Joe Goad, his daughter, Jeani Hall, two sons-in-law, Jerry Bach and Philip Wickliff, a great grandson, Braeden Richards, 7 brothers and 3 sisters, sisters-in-law, Alice, Thelma, Maxine and Barbara.
Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 1 – 3 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. EST Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery in Robbins, TN.
