Donald L. “Donnie” Bledsoe, age 49 of Markleville, formerly of New Castle went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born September 1, 1966 in New Castle to Donald Ray and Susie (Lee) Bledsoe.
Donnie had been employed with SMC Corporation of American for 17 years, and most recently had worked at Delaware Dynamics in Muncie. He also worked at JM Manufacturing in Rushville, and was a meat cutter at Cox’s and Jerry’s Market. Donnie was an accomplished guitar player who loved music and attending concerts. He also enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and his beloved dogs, Idgit and Bella.
Donnie is survived by his wife of 23 years: Debra (Adams) Bledsoe of Markleville; one daughter, Kylie (Roger LaForce Jr.) McBride of New Castle ; two granddaughters, Breona and Miracle; his mother, Susie (Ivan) Chaney of Plainfield; one brother, Bryan (Ginny) Bledsoe of New Castle; step-brothers, David Edwards of Richmond, Leon (Annette) Edwards of Richmond, Chris Chaney of Plainfield, Derrick (Alison) Chaney of Plainfield; nephews; Jeremy, Jared and Bradley Bledsoe, all of New Castle, Aaron and Alec Hart; a niece, Amanda (Josh) Goodman; father-in-law, Dan Wells of Knightstown, sister-in-law: Mindy Perkins of Plainfield and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Bledsoe; mother-in-law, Janice Wells; several aunts and uncles; and a cousin, Steve Cook
Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, August 15, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, August 14 at the funeral home. Condolences and memories of Donnie may be expressed at
