Donald L. Gossett, 88, of Knightstown went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at his residence. He was born June 4, 1933 in Somerset, Kentucky the son of William and Rosa Mae (Sweet) Gossett.
Donald worked at Nicholson File for 16 years and Henry County Memorial Hospital for 17 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, horses and traveling in his RV. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and making walking sticks.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Helen Gossett; children, Donnie Gossett, Steve (Paula) Gossett, Vicki (Tim) Ball, David (Teresa) Gossett, Mike (Lori) Gossett, Kurt (Nicole) Gossett and Tina (Parry) Sands; sister, Clara Jackson, Betty Norman and Gladys Looney; 20 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Gossett; daughter-in-law; Beth Gossett; brothers, Dean, Dewey, Darrel, Ralph, Ray and Eddie Gossett.
Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 PM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel followed by a time of sharing. Burial will follow in Rushville at East Hill Cemetery. Condolences and memories of Donald may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com .
