Edna Genevieve "Genny" Lowe

August 14, 1938 — September 27, 2023

Edna Genevieve “Genny” Lowe, 85, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Reid Health in Richmond following a brief illness. She was born August 14, 1938 in Albany, Kentucky to the late Lige and Naoma (Guffey) Davis.

I say goodbye today to the most amazingly strong, the most amazingly stubborn, the most amazingly beautiful, the most amazingly kind, the most amazingly loved human being I will ever know. Thank you for always being there even when I did not want you to be. Thank you for never giving up on me even when I wasn't so nice to you. I am not sure what I am going to do without my rock, but then I thought you will always be here because you made me and I carry you with me always. Until I see you again, my strong, stubborn, beautiful, kind, sweet momma. Rest now no more worries.

Genny was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church. She was an avid coffee drinker and reader of romance and mystery novels. More than anything, she loved being with her family.

She is survived by her children, Ray (April) Lowe and Trenda (Nancy Fairchild) Lowe; grandchildren, Berdena (Joe) Miller, Mitchell Lowe, Trevor Allen, Shelby Lowe and Olivia Allen; great grandchildren, Savanah, Tim, Katie, Chloe, Joey, John, Austyn, Aubrey and Aulora; great great grandchild, Wrenn; siblings, Lillian (Dan) Lowe, Connie (Russell) Cheesman, Bonnie Roseberry and Jerry (Brenda) Davis and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Raymond Lowe; a son, Shawn Lowe; siblings, Donna Denny, Marie Moran, James, Joseph, Obie, Everett and Earnest Davis.
