Emily Ann Patton

After a brief illness, our precious little girl, Emily Ann Patton, walked into the arms of Jesus, standing tall and straight and talking with words we were never blessed to hear.

Emily was born September 24, 1991 to Deidre (Gary) Powers and Joe Patton. Although initially she was given one year to live, she courageously and joyfully lived 28 years, blessing everyone in her path. She was an absolute joy to be around, never meeting a stranger. She had a very precious way about her, especially her laugh. She loved music and church and gave the best hugs. She loved her nieces and nephews, books, candy and LIVE PD. She also loved her friend Cole Cornett and her furry friends Maggie and Arora. People were better after being with her. She touched countless lives. In her passing she is providing sight to another by donating her corneas. We are so proud of her.

She is survived by her mother, Deidre (Gary) Powers; her father, Joe Patton; brothers, Ryan (Hannah) Patton, Jeremy (Kim) Powers; sisters, Erica (Jeff) Sincroft, Katie (Chad) Runk, April Buckley, Amy (Sue) Riley, Shelby Patton; grandmother, Mary Powers; nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and wonderful caregivers whom we consider family, Tanya Cornett and her family, Carmen Norris and Melissa Amonette. Our hearts will be forever grateful for the care they gave Emily and for making her so happy.

Emily was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rex and Thelma Owens and paternal grandparents, Curtis and Evelyn Patton.

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Christ Fellowship Church. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Friday at the church with Pastor Bill Roberts officiating.
