Glenda Lee

Glenda Lee, 54, of New Castle passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at her home. She was born September 17, 1969 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late Newell Glen and Geneva Lois (Stephens) Lee.

Glenda waited tables at the Spiceland Family Restaurant, Early Bird Diner and Bills Diner for many years. She also served on the Spiceland Volunteer Fire Department serving as the first female firefighter. Glenda was previously employed at Precision Soya and Summit Lake State Park. She loved watching Indianapolis Colts Football and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Rusty (Rishae) Lee of New Castle; daughter, Casie Lee of New Castle; stepson, Rob (Lauren) Hill of Cape Coral, Florida; grandchildren, Jaycie Pitcher, Aislin Lee, Lexi Hicks, Logan Hill, siblings: Nancy Akers of New Castle, David (Norma) Lee of New Castle, Sharon (Ted) Toller of Spiceland, Danny (Cherie) Lee of Norman, Oklahoma; special friend, Richard (Shawna) Reed of Riverview, Florida; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow at Circle Grove Cemetery.
