James E. Logston, age 83, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Reid Hospital in Richmond. He was born November 30, 1931 in New Castle, to the late Fred and Anna Mae Logston.
He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. James owned and operated Logston’s Auto Parts for over 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Logston; children, Cindy (Mark) Conrad of Brown County, Phil Logston of TX, Jamie (Debbie) Logston of New Castle, Chris (Julie) Lacy of New Castle and Jeff Lacy of New Castle; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Mary Elizabeth Reno of Winchester and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Logston; grandson, Andrew Branham.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015 at First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Steve Gallaway officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle and 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the church.
