Jeffrey Lee Madison, 55, of New Castle, passed away Sunday morning, December 3, 2017, in his home following a brief illness. He was born May 22, 1962 New Castle, a son of the late Charles and Betty (Lee) Madison.
Known to many as “Teddy Bear” and “Big Daddy”, Jeff enjoyed night rides and fishing, with his grand children, who were his pride and joy. He loved to laugh, joke around and woodworking. He took pride in everything he did. Jeff was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Jeff worked for the town of Spiceland, Insight Cable, Butler University Security, Winchester Police Department, and several years for the Henry County Sheriff’s Department.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 37 years, Esther Sue (Miller) Madison of New Castle, whom he married August 15, 1980; a daughter, Alisha White (fiancé, Chris Walls) of New Castle; a son Jeffrey (Jennifer) Madison of Rineyville, KY; grandchildren, Katlynn, Kasen, Jama, Conner, Harrison “Cale”, and Jesse “J.C.”; a brother, Glenn H. (Cindy) Madison of Richmond Hill, GA; sister-in-law, Claudia Madison of New Castle; several nieces, nephews and cousins; extended grandchildren, Jayla White and Emma Walls.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Rex and Terry Madison; nephew: Harrison Madison; a sister-in-law, Linda Madison; longtime friend, Chris Marcum.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December, 7, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Pastor Dennis Hilton officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition.
