Karen Lynn (Spradlin) Johnson, 59 of Largo, Fl and formerly of New Castle passed away Sunday July 26, 2020 following a brief illness. She was born on July 18, 1961 in Jellico, TN, a daughter of the late Fay (husband: Ray) Spradlin Conatser.
Karen loved spending time with her family, especially her boys and grandchildren, they were everything to Karen. She also loved her dog, Buddy. Before retirement, Karen worked as a store manager at Red Barn and Kocolene in New Castle.
Karen is survived by her husband, whom she married on July 3, 2003, Charles “Bo” Johnson of Largo, FL; son, Jeremy (Lora) Chesher of New Castle; sisters, Lisa ( Donnie) Flowers Rhonda Spradlin both of New Castle; cousin, Donna “Sis” Garnett of Williamburg, KY; grandchildren, Elisabeth, Annalyn and Jaycie Chesher all of New Castle; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her son, Jason Wayne Chesher; sister-in-law, Teresa Johnson; grandparents, James and Ora Spradlin.
Services will be at 1:00pm Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00pm prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Karen Johnson Memorial Fund, c/o Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service.
