Kenneth Groce

Kenneth Groce, 94, of New Castle passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Heritage House in New Castle. He was born on December 24, 1928 to the late Willie R. and Bernice (Workman) Groce.

Kenneth retired from Chrysler Corporation after 37 years of service. He was a devoted husband and father who cherished his family. Kenneth loved to work on clocks, going to auctions and yard sales. He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing and was known for being a friend to all.

He is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Michael) Allen; grandchildren, Teresa Lynn (Jim Caudell) Cash, Tina Cash; great grandchildren, Serina Cash, Blake Leary, Aaron Caudell, Matthew Coffee and Zach Fields; several great-great grandchildren; siblings, James Brown, Imogene Brown, Linda (Charles) McDaniels, Louise (Donald) Glover, Karen (Charles) Brann, Sharon (Larry) McFarland, Phillip (Barbara) Groce and Jackie (CiCila) Groce.

In addition to his parents Kenneth is proceeded in death by his wife, Martha (Blackburn) Groce; a daughter, Peggy Dodds; granddaughter, Chrissy Dodds; siblings, Nellie Hammond, Clifton Groce, Herman Groce, Elwood Groce, Alva Groce, Bill Groce, Dollie Dishman, Leona Mae Groce and Geneva Lowe.

Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, June 30, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Mark Herbkersman officiating. Burial will take place at South Mound Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 29, 2023 with Masonic Rights held at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
