Larry E. Bruce

Larry Bruce, 72, of New Castle passed away Saturday March 30, 2019 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born November 19, 1946 in New Castle a son of Leonard and Mamie (Leveridge) Bruce. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bruce.
Survivors include a brother, James Bruce of Pendleton and a sister, Sharon Hobbs of New Castle; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Larry served in the US Army and saw active duty in Vietnam as an airborne ranger. He also served in the US Navy and was an air traffic controller in Coronado, CA. He retired for the VA hospital in Indianapolis after many years of service. Larry was a quiet, pleasant man who enjoyed his pets and daily active life. He will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital doctor, nurses and staff for their expert care, grace and support.
