Larry G. Tinkle, age 71, of rural Knightstown, passed to his eternal rest Monday, June 15, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. He was born February 29, 1944 in rural Knightstown to the late Newell and Viola (Cox) Tinkle.
Larry graduated from Knightstown High School with the class of 1962. He served in the United States Army 1962-65. He was stationed in Hilderburg, Germany. He retired from Delco Remy after 34 years of service. Larry loved to travel and plant beautiful flowers and trees. He loved to spend time with his family and especially his two grandsons.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 48 years, Debbie Tinkle; daughter, Sheri (Jeff) Harmon of New Palestine and son, Brian (Doris Harsh) Tinkle of Knightstown; the Proud Pap of two grandsons, PVT First Class, Bayley Tinkle of the United States Army and Mason Tinkle; two sisters, Jhon (John) Ellingwood of Pendleton and Nancy Tinkle of Knightstown.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Bob Lines officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Military rites will be conducted by a contingent from the United States Army. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the funeral home.
