Linda Faye Denney, 73, of New Castle, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 at I.U. Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born November 16, 1947 in Monticello, KY, a daughter of the late James and Vema (Rigney) Mikel.
Linda spent most of her life serving as a caregiver, working for several different organizations. For the past forty years, she had been a passionate donor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, consistently donating to their cause. She enjoyed fishing, rummage sales, feeding the outdoor critters, and had a special knack for finding four-leaf clovers.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Terry Denney of New Castle; four children, Michelle (David) Newman, Michael “Bub” Pierce, Melissa (Paul) Tenpenny, and Mark (Kellie) Pierce; three step children, Terri Brooke (Brad) Ewing, Kati Denney, and Cody Denney, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of Henry County; a brother, Larry (Janet) Mikel of Spiceland, several nieces and nephews, and her two kitties, Trudy and Callie Jo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two cats, Sonny and Sam.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Paul Davis and Bro. Gene Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday.
