Lois M. Jackson, 89, of Knightstown, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at Regency Place in Greenfield. She was born April 7, 1921 in Science Hill, KY the daughter of the late James and Sarah Loveall.
Lois worked for Dr. George McClarnon, was employed at Western Electric in Indianapolis and was also a house parent at the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Children’s Home. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved her family very much, loved to cook and have family and friends in for coffee.
She is survived by four sons: Donald (wife: Jeanette) Jackson, Edward (wife: Carol) Jackson, Steven (wife: Karen) Jackson, and Rick (wife: Phyllis) Jackson, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren, a sister: Laura Wells Reed, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband: Wilbur Jackson; three sisters: Ollie Mae Moore, Gertie Trent, Dorothy Snedigar; two brothers: James Loveall and Paul Loveall.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Richard Thayer officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
