Lois E. Lynn, 60, a resident of Connersville passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rushville. She was born December 24, 1954 in Connersville to the late Lloyd A. Lynn, Jr. and Evelyn (McMichael) Lynn.
A lifetime Connersville resident, she was a 1973 graduate of Connersville High School and attended Ivy Tech. Lois was a member of the Whitewater Genealogical Society and had been a very active member of the Connersville First Church of the Nazarene. While at the church, she served as Missionary President, Young Peoples President, choir director, as well as church pianist and organist. Lois also taught Sunday school, served as secretary to numerous church boards and councils, was very active in Ladies Ministries and worked in the nursing home ministry.
Survivors include two brothers: Lloyd Michael (Kim) Lynn of Nineveh and Paul A. (Felicia) Lynn of Connersville; nieces and nephews: Jason, Clint Belt, Tesia and Jay Paul Lynn; great nieces and nephews: Alivea, Peyton, Hayden, Jayden, Conner, Aiden, Maycee, Logan; several aunts, uncles and cousins including a special aunt whom she was very close to: Marilyn Hinsey of New Castle and two special cousins: Karen Pruet and Darla Armstrong.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Harold & Hazel McMichael; paternal grandparents: Lloyd and Flossie Lynn, Sr. and step-grandparents: Milo Stiver and Emily Lynn.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Connersville First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Randy Sherwood officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition in New Castle. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service.
