Maggie E. Hansen

Maggie E. Hansen, 66, of New Castle passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial in Muncie. She was born September 14, 1955 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late Ronald C. and Doris Jean (Banta) Sieffert.

She was a 1974 graduate of New Castle High School. Maggie had been a correctional officer for the past 10 years with the GEO Group, formerly New Castle Correctional. She was a member of the 14th Street Church of Christ, and loved taking care of people. Maggie loved her grandchildren and to them was known as “Nana”. She had a passion for music, was a good singer and loved going to concerts.

Survivors include her children, Ambre (James) Sisson of Markleville and Cory A. Armstrong of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Alec (Lacey) Armstrong of Greenfield, Tyler Young, Tarrytown, New York, Elayna Sisson of Markleville, Drew Armstrong of Rushville and Cayden Sisson of Markleville; step children, Kristine (Jeff) Landgraf of Dana Point, California, and their children, Jude, Finn & Jack, Greg Hansen of Ft. Wayne, and his children McKenzie & Nathaniel, Liz (Sean) Kincaid of Wimberly, Texas, and their children Blake, Dylan, Collin & Easton; sister, Michele (Michael) Kirby of Fishers; nephews, Craig (Jamie) Kirby of Fort Wayne and Kris (April) Kirby of Fortville; great niece, Camille Kirby; great nephews, Logan & Lincoln; and significant other, John Montgomery of New Castle.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hansen.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Michael Kirby officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
