Margaret Ledbetter, 95, of New Castle, passed away in her home late Monday evening while surrounded by her family. She was born February 24, 1924 in Overton County, TN, a daughter of the late Dewey and Ethel (Gothard) Lowhorn.
Margaret retired from RCA in Indianapolis after approximately 30 years of service. She loved to cook, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two grandchildren, Leary Ledbetter (Mark Quinton) of Indianapolis, and Lora Ledbetter (Brandi McClure) of Noblesville; her daughter in law, Diane Ledbetter of New Castle; great grandchildren, Ella, Anthony and Aaron; two sisters, Wilma (Gene) King of Muncie and Clara Craft of New Castle; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Ledbetter in 2007, her son, Ernest W. Ledbetter on June 2, 2019; sisters Geneva Jeffries, Juanita Vaughn, Minnie Gasper; brothers, Clint, John, James, and Brooks Lowhorn.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Gene Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
