Margaret “Chris” Muse, age 81, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, October 02, 2014 at St. Vincent Seton Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born June 4, 1933 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Harry and Helen (Hoffman) Christopher.
Chris loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas. She had been to Hawaii, Scotland, Australia and Aruba. She was active in the community and was president of the Henry County Home Ec Club for many years, was also a member of the Eastern Star, TOPS and the Red Hat Society at the Forest Ridge Chapter. Chris was a great mother and was an avid sports fan. Chris was a devoted member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Castle.
Survivors include her son, Mark Muse of New Castle; daughter, Debbie (Dr. Scott)
Walker of Carmel; three grandchildren, Riley, Lindsey, and Avery Walker all of Carmel, Bob (Pearl) Christopher of Lafayette; brother-in-law, Larry (Becky) Muse of Spiceland; nieces, Larissa (Jeff) Winchester of Greenville, OH, Jillian Muse of Hagerstown, and Carol (Tony) Dougherty; nephew, Harry (Madonna) Christopher; great niece, Becca Christopher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. “Woody” Muse; sister, Ruth Maddox; niece, Margie Weathers
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Castle with the Reverend Bill Chamberlin assisted by Rev. Dr. Clark Hobby officiating.
