Mary Jane (Janie) Campbell, 54, of Knightstown died in her sleep Monday morning in her home. Janie was born on May 30, 1955 in Rushville the daughter of Harry David and Sherry Sue (Kinder) White. She married Roger Campbell February 2, 1974.
Janie had worked as a teacher’s aide at the Carthage Elementary School since 2002 and was a member of Fletcher United Methodist Church in Carthage where she played an active role in community service, missions, Vacation Bible School and the food pantry.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband: Roger Campbell of Knightstown; a daughter: Carrie Campbell of Knightstown; a son: Chris Campbell (fiance: Robin) of Greenfield. Other survivors include Janie’s mother and father: Harry and Sue White of Knightstown; sister: Julie (husband: Greg) Bright of Indianapolis; a brother: Joe (wife: Marsha) White of Zionsville; sister: Jana (husband: Scott) McClurg of Franklin; and many loving nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, January 1, 2010 at Fletcher United Methodist Church in Carthage with Reverend Mervin Kilmer officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Fletcher United Methodist Church PO Box 98 Carthage, IN 46115.
