Mary Lee Crandall

Mary Lee Crandall, 49, of New Castle went to be with the Lord unexpectedly, Saturday, May 11, 2019 at her home. She was born April 28, 1970 to Willie Garrett and Patricia Carter Peyton.

She was a 1988 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and graduated in 2002 from IVY Tech nursing school as an LPN. Mary worked at Forest Ridge and different nursing homes. She enjoyed swimming, tanning, shopping and sunflowers; she especially loved her children and her basset hound, Maggie May.

Left to cherish her loving memory a daughter, Taylor Gail Crandall; a son, Nickolas Ryan Crandall; a step-daughter, Cassie Lynn Crandall; mother and step father, Daniel and Patricia Carter Peyton; father and step-mother, Willie and Paulette Garrett; sisters, Amy Garrett and Gina (Mike) Garrett-Lowe; step-brothers, Bradley Phelps and Daniel Peyton II, three step-sisters, Lisa Neal, Candi Chambers and Laura (Gary) Whittle; aunts, Sue (Willie) Rose, Debra Garrett, Joyce (Charlie) Papenhaus; uncles, Elgan “Sonny” (Pat) Carter and Michael (Lynne) Carter; nieces, Lauren Leeann Lowe and Mackenzie Mae Garrett; several cousins and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Garrett on May 20, 2016, grandparents, Ryan and Vera Garrett and Elgan and Ladosca Carter; uncle, Bobby Lou Garrett, Keith Garrett; cousins, Tracy Clark, Kenny Garrett and Terry Garrett.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Joe Deckard officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Summit Cemetery.
