On December 23rd, 2023, Miriam Brown shed her earthly pain and made a graceful exit, surrounded by love. Miriam was a graduate of Ball State University and was a registered Dietitian. She was active in the American Dietetic Association and Altrusa for many years. After retiring, she remained active with her local WIC chapter, working to educate mothers about good nutrition. She was never one to hold back her opinion or her generous, loving heart. Miriam was smart, fun loving and loved to work in the garden, growing beautiful flowers, fruits and vegetables. Miriam loved to travel, whether visiting her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends across the country or venturing around the globe or simply traveling to her and Vans favorite fishing hole. She created fun and beauty wherever she went.
She made the best cherry pie you ever tasted! Anything she made in the kitchen was delicious. Miriam always dressed with timeless style and beauty whether she was in the garden, in the kitchen or on a dance floor. She made every birthday, holiday and event special, so that each family member and friend around her felt loved and appreciated. Miriam always looked to the positive side of any situation. The light she shone will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children and their significants, Steve Franklin (Kathy), Valerie Lomax (Tom), Mark Franklin (Larissa), Jennifer Kidd (Vincent). Grandchildren, Hannah, Jared, Abigail, Natalie, Evan, Opal, Pearl, Gloria, Myra, Sarah Mae, Wyatt, Adam, Levi, Zeke, Isaac, Aaron, 10 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
