Murrell David Loveless, 80, of New Castle passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born April 14, 1943 in Science Hill, Kentucky to the late Ben and Margaret (Wood) Loveless.
Murrell was the youngest of 6. He attended New Castle High School where he was the running back for the New Castle Trojan’s Football team. Murrell owned and operated American Heating and Cooling for over 50 years. He enjoyed stock car racing, spending time with his grandchildren and traveling. He had enjoyed traveling all over the world with his former wife, Betty.
He is survived by his children, Davey Loveless, Lisa (Randy) Garner; grandchildren, Brandy (Duane) Burton, Mandy Purnell, Samantha Garner and Kayla Garner; great grandchildren, Logan Craig, Hannah Craig, Savannah Garner, Maddox Purnell, Holden Coomer and Alivia Coomer; sister-in-law, Connie Loveless and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his former wife, Betty Winchester; siblings, Jewell Mason, Claude, Benny, Don and Ralph Loveless; grandson, Dakota Craig and grand son-in-law, Eric Purnell.
