Nancy Margaret Beavers

Nancy Margaret Beavers, 81, of New Castle passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born June 8, 1931 in Muncie, a daughter of Monroe and Genevieve (Pickard) Wright.
A homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, reading and painting. She made over 100 baby afghans which she gave away. She also enjoyed camping and traveling, especially to Branson, MO.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband: Millard H. “Jr.” Beavers, whom she married May 30, 1947; three sons: Steve (Nancy) Beavers of New Castle, John (Marcia) Beavers of Charlottesville and Dave (Becky) Beavers of Knightstown; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Rita Beavers of Spiceland, Norma Beavers of Marion, Marjorie Wright of Muncie; a brother-in-law: Martin Thomas of Cadiz; step sister: Kathleen Grimes of Muncie; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son: Thomas Beavers in 2002, three brothers, a sister, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
Services will be at 10:30 AM Monday, March 11, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-5 PM Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. You may express a condolence or share a memory of Nancy at www.hinsey-brown.com .
