Patricia K. Davis Dalton, 81, a resident of New Castle passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at her home. She was born January 30, 1943 in New Castle to the late Arthur and Louise (Duncan) Davis.
Pat loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and games, working puzzles, shopping, going out to eat, taking rides on the golf cart and attending her grandchildren’s activities. She was most known for her love of decorating, jewelry, nail polish and her pink lipstick. Pat was also passionate about cooking big family meals. She worked as a bookkeeper and clerical worker at Marsh Foods for 34 years.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years: Thomas “Tom” Dalton, whom she married January 3, 1998; two daughters: Julie Farmer and Jennifer (Cory) Cook, both of New Castle; three step-sons: Thomas (Dawn) Dalton of New Castle, Tim Dalton of Logansport and Mark (Linda) Dalton of North Carolina; grandchildren: Ashley (Matt) Patterson, Abagail Farmer and Lindsey (Beau) Tipton, all of New Castle; Brock (Chelsea) Southerland of Seymour, TN, Mckayla Bouslog of New Castle, Blake Smith of Cadiz and Brandon Johns of Kokomo; five step-grandchildren: Katie Dalton, Patrick (Olivia) Dalton, Madison Dalton, Ainsley Dalton and Lindsay Dalton; six great-grandchildren: Emma Thurman, Sophia Thurman, Kaylee Tipton, Kaden Tipton, Addyson Southerland and Brance Southerland; two step-great grandchildren: Oliver Patterson and Aria Dalton; a sister: Betty Bogue of New Castle; a brother: Benny Arthur Davis of Brookeville; brother-in-law: Ronnie (Becky) Smith of Bluffton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Roger S. Smith, a son: Rodney Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Harold and Mary E. “Jean” Smith and a brother-in-law: Larry Joe Bogue.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Max Downs officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
