Paul J. Elam, 66, of Carthage passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 28, 1954 in Wilmington, OH to the late Paul and Betty (Hamilton) Elam.
Paul spent most of his life driving a dump truck and after 31 years of driving he retired from V&S Transport. He was a former member of Masonic Lodge #312. Paul enjoyed watching western movies and piddling around.
Paul is survived by his wife of 36 years Debbie; children, Michael (Penny) Elam of Greenfield, Blake Riley of Carthage, Amanda (Mike) McCorkle of Greenfield, Melissa Elam of Greenfield and Grant Riley of Greenfield; grandchildren, Patrick McCorkle of Greenfield, Shelby McCorkle of Greenfield, Tyler Elam of Fortville, Abby McCorkle of Greenfield and Grace McCorkle of Greenfield; 3 great grandchildren whom knew him as pop pop; sister, Paula (Regina) Richie of Syracuse; along with several nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration for Paul’s life will be held at a later date.
