Paul R. McGee

Paul R. McGee, 83, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation in New Castle. He was born July 11, 1937 in New Castle, Indiana, a son of the late Chester and Margaret (Davis) McGee.

Paul retired from Henry County REMC in 2003 after 46 years of service as a Journeyman Lineman. He enjoyed mowing the yard, NASCAR Races, country music and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter. Paul also loved spending time in the barn, playing cards and racing go carts in his younger years.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 35 years: Debbie (Hillman) McGee, whom he married March 8, 1986; son, Jayson (Karis) McGee of Middletown; granddaughter, Adeline Grace McGee; sister, Beverly Dotson of Muncie; brothers-in-law, Joe (Lisa) Hillman of Middletown and Dewey “Junior” (Sharon) Hillman of Mt. Summit; and several nieces, nephews & cousins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Mary (Eugene) Brooks; two brothers, Leland (Barbara) McGee and Donald (Delores) McGee; brother-in-law, Bob Dotson; mother & father-in-law, Dewey (Treva) Hillman.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Mark Herbkersman officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Muncie. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 and the governor’s mandate, face coverings are required.
