Peggie Anne Brinkley

Peggie Anne Brinkley, 86 of Henry County passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023. She was born on October 19, 1937 to the late William and Mary King.

Peggie loved to cook, she was a waitress and cook for many years in Indianapolis. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially the grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Vacationing in Brookville with family always brought smiles to her face. Peggie owned and operated The Shoe Factory Outlet in New Castle. She worked hard all her life and was dedicated to her craft. Peggie enjoyed fishing, Jumble, and Word Search, she would also read at least 4 books a week.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Karla Shafer, and Dee Shafer; 4 grandchildren, Zachary Clements (Morgan), Joshua Clements, Summer Branham, and Jacob Branham (Yordani). One sister Bobbie Jean Ziglar, 4 great grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Brinkley, son Steven King Morgan and 2 brothers William King, and Harold King.

Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Hinsey Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Services will begin at 2 p.m. following the visitation and will be officiated by Pastor Sam Frost. Burial will follow at New Lisbon Cemetery.
