Peggy Ann Lane

Peggy Ann Lane, 82, of Knightstown, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born April 27, 1941 in Russell County, KY, a daughter of the late Rufus and Sissy (Stevens) Miller.

Peggy worked at International Furniture in Rushville for many years, working in the sewing department. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, as well as flower gardening. Always exhibiting a great personality, she thoroughly enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Bethel Holiness Church in Knightstown, where she deeply appreciated the friendship of the members.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of over 66 years, T. Dale Lane of Knightstown; two sons, Tom (Roxanne) Lane and Jeff (Linda) Lane, both of Knightstown; four grandchildren, Chase Lane of Knightstown, Katlyn (Ryan) Ross of Dayton, OH, Colby (Kristen) Lane of Knightstown, and Kelton (Kendra) Lane of New Castle; eight great grandchildren, Kaylee, Justin, Finley, Olivia, Rowan, Hunter, Kayson, and Dakota; one sister, Leva Riley of Warrington; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pearl Popplewell, and three brothers, Todge, William, and Philip Miller.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Jr. Maloyed and Pastor Stephen Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
