Porter Ray Coffey

Porter Ray (Skinny) Coffey, 82, of New Castle passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023. He was born August 27th, 1941 in Henry County to the late Willie and Alice Bell (Brown) Coffey.

Porter loved to spend time with all of his family, his grandkids brought him great joy and smiles. He had a love for old cars and motorcycles. Porter attended the Broad Street Cruise in for many years. He was known for working and tinkering on old cars. He rode motorcycles with his wife Sue all over. Porter is survived by his wife of 60 years Sue Coffey; children Valerie Coffey, Brad (Rita) Coffey, Mark (Lora) Coffey, Bryant (Paula) Coffey and Brother Donald (Ruby) Coffey; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son Stephen Coffey, Grandson Cody Wood , and great grandson Blaine Lee. Three brothers; James Coffey, Dewey Coffey, Truman Coffey, and 4 sisters Viola Marcum, Patricia Coffey, Vickie Kahle, and Lea Atkinson. He is also preceded in death by his best friend Paul Lowe.

Services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday Sept 30, 2023 at Hinsey Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Brett Raines officiating. Burial will be at South Mound Cemetery.
