Robert E. "Bob" Lee

Robert E. “Bob” Lee, 57, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. He was born on April 24, 1966 in Greenfield, Indiana to the late Ralph Lee and Dorothy (Haler) Duffy.

He was a member of New Castle Chrysler High School graduating class of 1985. Bob then worked in the correctional industry for 28 years, 21 of those years were at Pendleton Correctional Industrial Facility where he retired. In the past, he was a song leader and currently attended LifeSpring Church in Richmond; He loved worship music and playing the guitar. Bob was an avid sports fan from football to Indiana University basketball. His favorite was football with a great love for the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bob was a fan of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. He loved to watch older sitcoms, especially Friends. Bob was known for his great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Ruth (Pierce) Lee of New Castle; children, Nate (Ashley) Lee of Fountain City and Mary (Devin) Templeton of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brayden, William and Oliver; siblings, Carol (Rodney) Bell of Mooreland and Betty (Dale) Bell of New Castle; special aunt, Teresa Jester of New Castle and many more special family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Evelyn Lee.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Kevin Templeton officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery- West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
