Roger Brian Conyers, age 36, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at his residence. He was born July 10, 1976 in Muncie, Indiana to Roger and Joyce Ann (Miller) Conyers.
He was employed at Engineered Machine Products for the past 11 years. He was Bassist with the local band, FishHuk. Brian was a 1995 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and was a member of the Trojan Marching Band. He loved fishing and spending time with his niece and nephew. He also volunteered at the Haunted Trail at Eaton’s Orchard.
Survivors include his wife, Shelley (Williams) Conyers whom he married October 25, 2003; parents, Roger and Joyce Conyers of New Castle; brother, Brandon (Christina) Conyers and niece, Nicole Conyers of Pendleton; mother-in-law, Teresa Pendleton of Peru; father-in-law, Robert Williams of Billings, Montana; brother-in-law; Ryan (Alison) Williams and nephew, Connor Williams of Indianapolis; aunts and uncles, Paul (Joyce) Conyers of New Castle, Mike Miller of Muncie, Cindy (Peter) Dub of Noblesville, Teresa (Ed) Benton of Columbia, NC, David (Leeanne) Hillery of Virginia Beach, VA, Becky (Paul) Reece of Indianapolis; several cousins; special friends, Jeremy Hedges, Mark Robinson, Chris Miller and Matt Moore.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Mildred Conyers; uncle, Clay Conyers; maternal grandparents, Everett and Margaret Miller; maternal grandparents, Richard Miller and Pat Hillery; step grandfather, John Hillery; father-in-law, Chet Pendleton.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Charles Dugger and Reverend Tony Piper officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Summit Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Autism Society, 4340 East West Hwy Suite 350, Bethesda, MD 20814 with envelopes available at the funeral home.
