Roger D Fowler

Roger D. Fowler, age 64, of West Lafayette, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at his residence. He was born December 6, 1948 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Eugene Fowler and Margaret (Shelton) Fowler of New Castle.

He retired from Chrysler Corporation following 20 years of service. Roger was an avid sports fan, especially IU Basketball. He loved Country Western music and played in several bands. He enjoyed fishing, piddling and working on cars, also collecting many antiques from flea markets and traveling.

In addition to his mother, Margaret Fowler, he is survived by his wife of 18 years, Donna K. Fowler of West Lafayette; children, Tawnya Evans of New Castle, Doug Fowler of Monticello, KY, Nikki (Michael) Turnage of Las Vegas, Kim (Dave) Johnson of Plattsmouth, NE, and Kris Callahan of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jonathon (Tina) Evans of New Castle, Tyler Evans of New Castle, Taylor Evans of New Castle, Angel Fowler of Muncie, Alicia Hernandez , Ivy Weddle both of NE, Gage and Devlund Callahan of Indianapolis, and Dylan Johnson of NE; great granddaughter, Carrie Evans; siblings, Steve (Linda) Fowler of Middletown and Susan (Al) Fowler Figueroa of Indianapolis; a niece and several nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Fowler; great granddaughter, Gracie Evans.

A Celebration of Life will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the funeral home.
