Rosemary Niles, 83, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born March 8, 1936 in New Castle to the late Paul and Mary Ruth (McClure) Armstrong.
A 1954 graduate of New Castle High School, she worked as a docent for Henry County Historical Society for 13 years. Rosemary was an artist, gardener, seamstress, avid quilter, she had many collections and was a good mother & wife. She was a member of St. Anne Society, St. Anne Mother’s Club and was involved in many St. Anne Church ministries.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Paul; children, Theresa (Mike) Arness-Kohtz of Indianapolis and Paul Kelly Niles of Manistee, Michigan; grandchildren, Andrew (Hilary) Arness of Indianapolis and Caroline (Ian) Starnes of Sarasota, Florida; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Niles of New Castle and Sue Niles of West Chester, Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews and a great grand-niece.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Perry Edward Niles.
A mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2019 at St. Anne Catholic Church in New Castle with Father Lawrence Zurek, OFM Conv officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anne Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
