Ryan Michael Stanley, 34, of Honey Creek, entered his eternal journey, Sunday night, August 24, 2014, due to an automobile accident. He was born January 3, 1980 in New Castle, Indiana.
He was New Castle’s 1980 city New Year baby. Ryan was the son of Michael “Mickey” and JoAnn (Cash) Stanley. He graduated from Blue River Valley High School with the class of 1998. He worked for Harvest Land Co-op and the State of Indiana where he received his CDL. He was a dependable hard worker. Ryan was a kindhearted kid who saw no danger. He had a smile and wave for everyone. If you called, he was there “to save the day!” He loved working on cars, including the 1990 red Mustang convertible he took his last cruise in. He enjoyed his dogs Bo, Cleo and Cameron. Ryan was a Jack of all trades.
He left to cherish his all too short memories, his parents; a sister, Dori Stanley (Charles) Keller of New Castle; nephew, Kypton Zayne Keller of New Castle, who loved to play with Ryan; grandmother, Doris Cash of Middletown; uncles and aunts, Lonnie and Connie Stanley of North Vernon, IN, Dan and Cari Stanley of Mt. Summit, IN, Tom and Deb Cash of New Castle, IN and Jeff and Patsy Cash of Middletown, IN; many cousins and friends.
A family friend gathering will meet at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, Friday, August 29, 2014 from 1-4 p.m. There will be no service. At 4:00 p.m. Ryan will then take his last ride to Mt. Summit Cemetery for his final resting place where there will be a brief committal service. Everyone can come as you are and talk about the good times with Ryan. A special thanks to David Sweet who found the scene, Mike Davis, Craig Morgan and Justin Morgan who were faithful friends and searchers. Thanks to all the law officers and their team. I can see Ryan smile, wave and say, “I’m fine, I’ll see you later.”
