Shirley A. Orr

Shirley A. Orr, 82, of New Castle passed away on Saturday September 30, 2023. She was born on
December 9, 1940, in New Castle to the late Vernon Sorrell and Letha (Mays) Richey.

She was a homemaker all her life who loved taking care of her children and grandchildren. Shirley
enjoyed travelling and playing BINGO. She worked at the Addison place and Henry County Day Care. Shirley loved the Lord.

Shirley is survived by her sons, David (Connie) Thompson, Danny Thompson and Ray Thompson; daughter, Lisa Thompson; grandchildren, Ricky Thompson, Scott Thompson, Dick Thompson and Douglas Thompson; great grandchildren, Parker, Ophelia, Danielle, Lazario and Angel; sister, Melanie (Tom) Owsley along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Shirley is preceded in death by a son, Richard Thompson; siblings, Danny, Bart, Alan, Gary and Mitch; nephew, Tommy "Bo" Owsley.
