Stephen L. Roberts

Stephen L. Roberts, 53, of New Castle passed away Monday, January 1, 2018. He was born June 26, 1964 in New Castle to the late Ernest “Dale” and Ina Roberts of New Castle.

For most of Stephen’s career he was an entrepreneur. He loved his daughters and grandchildren. Stephen collected baseball cards, knives, enjoyed hot rods and was a Harley Davison enthusiast.

He is survived by his mother, Ina Roberts, daughters, Amy (Josiah) Oaks of Albany, IN and Kathy West of New Castle, grandchildren, Jolon, Talon, Avery and Nova, brothers, Vernon Roberts of Modoc and Gary Roberts of New Castle, half-brother, Gene Ayers of Albany, KY.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest “Dale” Roberts in 2015, maternal grandparents, William and Freda Vitatoe, paternal grandparents, Andrew and Bertha Roberts.

Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. prior to the service.
