Todd B. Poynter

Todd B. Poynter, 66, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at his home. He was born on December 24, 1956 in New Castle to the late Lester C. and Mary Jo (Stephendale) Poynter.

Todd attended New Castle Chrysler High School and worked for the Indiana State Highway and Henry County Conservation Department. He enjoyed music and playing guitar. Todd loved spending time with his friends and his dog, Tazz. His hobbies included hunting, trapping and fishing.

Survivors include five siblings, Mike Poynter of New Castle, Tauni (Art) McCorkle of New Castle, Starry (Mike) McCall of Carmel, Laura (Joe) Klimasz of North Carolina and Gina Hatraf (David Penrod) of St. Louis, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, John Poynter, Tim Poynter, Ken Poynter and Kip Poynter.

Private services for the family will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
